Order Cancellation & Return Policy

Comprehensive guide to cancellations, returns, and refunds.

1. Cancellation Policy

  • The customer can choose to cancel an order any time before it's dispatched.
  • The order cannot be canceled once it’s out for delivery. However, the customer may choose to reject it at the doorstep.
  • The time window for cancellation varies based on different categories. The order cannot be canceled once the specified time has passed.
  • In some cases, the customer may not be allowed to cancel the order for free, post the specified time and a cancellation fee will be charged. The details about the time window mentioned on the product page or order confirmation page will be considered final.

We reserve the right to cancel your order, in whole or in part, for reasons including:

  • Product unavailability.
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).
  • Suspected fraudulent activity or violation of our Terms of Use.
  • Logistical constraints.

In all instances of cancellation (by the seller/Flipkart), you will not be charged for the canceled order. Any payments you have already made will be promptly refunded within 5-7 business days.

Flipkart reserves the right to accept the cancellation of any order and to waive off or modify the time window or cancellation fee from time to time.

2. Returns Policy

Returns are a scheme provided by respective sellers directly. The returns/replacement policy provided on the product page shall prevail over this general policy.

Mobiles & Electronics (Excluding premium brands), Small Home Appliances (Excluding Chimney/Water Purifier/Fan/Geyser), Furniture (Hammock Swing & Stool) 7 days Replacement only. Troubleshooting is mandatory. Only one replacement provided.
Premium Mobiles & Electronics (Apple, Samsung, Google, etc.), Large Appliances (Vu, LG, Godrej, Haier, etc.) 7 Days Service Center Replacement/Repair only. Final decision rests with the seller/brand. DOA (Dead on Arrival) for Samsung requires brand certificate.
Rest of Small/Large Home Appliances (Chimney, Water Purifier, Fan, Geyser), Rest of Furniture 10 days Replacement only. Requires brand-authorized installation for eligibility. Troubleshooting is mandatory. Only one replacement provided.
Grocery (Dairy, Bakery, Fruits, Vegetables) 2 Days Refund Only.
Grocery (Remaining items like pulses, atta) 7 days Refund Only.

Part 2: Returns Pick-Up and Processing Conditions expand_more

During pick-up, your product will be checked by the field executive for the following conditions. The return will be refused if any of these are not met.

Condition Details
Correct Product IMEI/name/image/brand/serial number/article number/bar code should match, and MRP tag should be undetached and clearly visible.
Complete Product All in-the-box accessories (remote control, starter kits, manuals, chargers, headphones, etc.), freebies, and combos (if any) must be present.
Unused Product The product must be unused, unwashed, unsoiled, without any stains, and with non-tampered quality check seals/return tags/warranty seals. Mobiles/Laptops/Tablets must be formatted, and Screen Lock/iCloud lock must be disabled.
Undamaged Product The product (including SIM trays/charging port/headphone port, back-panel etc.) should be undamaged and without any scratches, dents, tears or holes.
Undamaged Packaging The product’s original packaging/box should be undamaged.

For any products for which a refund is to be given, the refund will be processed once the returned product has been received by the seller.

**Note on Address Change:** In case of returns where you would like item(s) to be picked up from a different address, the address can only be changed if pick-up service is available at the new address.

Part 3: General Rules for a Successful Return expand_more
  • In certain cases where the seller is unable to process a replacement for any reason whatsoever, a refund will be given.
  • If a product accessory is found missing/damaged/defective, the seller may either process a replacement of the particular accessory or issue an eGV for an amount equivalent to the price of the accessory, at the seller’s discretion.
  • Open Box Deliveries: While accepting your order, if you received a different or a damaged product, you will be given a refund (on-the-spot refunds for cash-on-delivery orders). Once you have accepted an open box delivery, no return request will be processed, except for manufacturing defects.
  • For products where installation is provided by Flipkart's service partners, do not open the product packaging yourself. Flipkart authorized personnel shall help in unboxing and installation of the product.
  • For Furniture, product-related issues will be checked by authorized service personnel and attempted to be resolved by replacing the faulty part. Full replacement will be provided only if the service personnel opines that replacing the part will not resolve the issue.
  • Flipkart holds the right to restrict the number of returns created per order unit, post evaluation of the product/order defect by Flipkart’s authorized representative.
